The organization
A non-profit organization established in 1991 on the north side of Madeira, developing and training nautical activities — cruise and dinghy regattas, canoeing, surf, paddle surf — and mountain sports, namely canyoning and mountain bike. With a long, historic CV of sporting events, it has become a worldwide reference in these disciplines.
The club also plays an important role in environmental issues and nature conservation, integrating the local community in every aspect of its events — and above all in the benefits of a well-preserved nature, our most precious asset.

The island
Right in the middle of the Atlantic, Madeira and Porto Santo are a haven of natural beauty — exotic flowers against blue sea and emerald vegetation, an archipelago where two thirds are protected area and home to the world’s largest Laurissilva forest.
Springtime temperatures all year round call for the open air: levada walks, Funchal and the heritage of the Discoveries, boat rides along the coastline. Popular feasts run all year — Carnival, the Flower Festival, the Atlantic Festival and the famous end-of-year fireworks.
